After making your way throughBelurat, Tower SettlementinElden Ring Shadow of the Erdtreeand defeating theDivine Beast Dancing Lion, you’ll hit a dead end.
This is just the first of many roadblocks that you’ll face in the Land of Shadow, but the blockade at theTower of Shadowis especially confusing for new players. All that’s there to guide you is a message that instructs you to follow the crosses east, but where exactly are you supposed to go after Belurat in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

Where Should You Go After Belurat in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?
After defeating the Divine Beast Dancing Lion at the end of theBelurat dungeonin Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, you’ll find that the entrance to the Tower of Shadow issealed and obscured by shadow.
A note from Needle Knight Leda — one of your companions who is also pursuing Miquella — instructs you tofollow the crosses east. Miquella’s Crosses are major landmarks in Shadow of the Erdtree, so leaving Belurat and continuing eastward until you spot more of them is the best way forward.

There are only so many Miquella Crosses in the Gravesite Plain region, however, so your search will take you even further east to theScadu Atlus. To get there, you first need to clear theCastle Ensis dungeon. This is the next major destination on your Shadow of the Erdtree journey after Belurat, Tower Settlement.
Castle Ensis is located to the east of Belurat. You have to cross the massiveEllac Greatbridgein order to reach it, so you can’t miss it. There are afew helpful items and smaller locationsalong the way that you should keep an eye out for as well.
Castle Ensis is a tough dungeon, and while it may be shorter than Belurat, there are multipleminibossesthat stand between you and the final boss guarding the Scadu Atlus. Thankfully, the rewards match the challenge, and you’ll find some of the DLC’scoolest weaponswithin the castle walls.
If you’re having trouble with Castle Ensis, try exploring the Gravesite Plain region for a while longer so you may find moreScadutree Fragmentsand boost your stats to prepare for the battles ahead. Don’t lose hope, since the Scadu Atlus is home to some of Shadow of the Erdtree’s new weapon archetypes likeHand-to-Hand Martial Arts.
