Just a few days ago, Sony Pictures gave usour first lookat the upcoming Until Dawn movie. If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, we now have the full trailer in all its horror glory.
Clocking in at over 2:20 minutes long, the trailer gives us our first look at the entire cast and even the killer. The good thing here is: you know how in movie trailers it’s annoying they spoil a lot of stuff for the full film? I don’t think that’ll be the case here, since the movie’s premise confirms the group wakes up after death to find themselves at the beginning. It’s like Groundhog Day, but a lot more morbid.

Until Dawn’s First Official Trailer Introduces The Cast
According toSony, the movie’s story is set in the same world as the game, and it will feature fresh characters in a new, original story. While this is in no way an adaptation of the game, Sony did tease that they cannot wait for fans to “discover how the movie’s events connect to the Until Dawn game.”
My guess? Perhaps this is a direct sequel of what happened after the game? Peter Stormare, who appeared in the game as Dr. Hill is one connecting character between the game and the movie. Sony states the, “film will delve into his character’s involvement in the events of the game, raising questions for fans to explore.”

Stormare also gave a statement on the movie and how it honors the spirit of the game “I have been lucky to be part of Until Dawn since the original, incredible, super terrifying game, and that’s why I’m so excited to be part of this film, because the whole thing is a love letter to horror, and it completely honors the spirit of the game. The movie is going to be full of fresh characters and victims in a brand-new story, loaded with twists. So whether you’re a longtime fan or you’re discovering it for the first time, get ready for Until Dawn like you’ve never seen it before." Stormare shares.
