Earlier this week The DioField Chronicle got a release date for Japan set for September, September 22nd is now confirmed as the worldwide launch date.

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming strategy RPG. The video at the moment only available in Japanese, previews some of the in-game gameplay and cutscenes. The game focuses on top-down tactical combat, which was also revealed in thedeveloper live streamearlier this week.

The game is described as an “all-new simulation RPG” that mixes skills and experience to craft stories that invites real-time strategic elements. Players will use their troops' strengths to overcome foes in battle, taking their enemies weaknesses into account. The battles are in a realistic “diorama” style with some stunning combat visual effects.

In case you missed it, the game follows a group of elite mercenaries called the Blue Fox set in a medieval-inspired world. The Blue Fox is comprised of four leaders, each with their own backstory. Fighting for honour, players will need to make tough decisions throughout, affecting characters and their spanning relationships with each other.
