The Boys’fourth season is already expected to be another big hit for Prime Video, especially coming on the back of the finale of spin-off seriesGen V. However, there is another reason that many fans are hyped for the return of the ultra-violent comic book series, and that is the long-awaited arrival ofThe Walking Dead’sJeffrey Dean Morganto the show. Now, post-strike,The BoysstarErin Moriartyhas been adding her own bit of hype to Morgan’s introduction to the show.
AsThe Walking Dead’s popularvillain-turned-anti-hero Negan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was one of the characters that elevated the zombie horror series, something that was proven by the success of spin-off seriesThe Walking Dead: Dead City. Now he is set to make his debut in Prime Video’s superhero series, which sets up a reunion with formerSupernaturalcreator Eric Kripke and potentially former co-star Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy in the series.

Details about Morgan’s character are still scarce, despite the actor previously teasing the role and his excitement to be finally joining the franchise after a few years of conflicted schedules. However, during a recent interview withComicbook.com, Starlight actress Erin Moriarty was asked about Morgan’s arrival in the show, and as expected played it very coy in her response. She said:
“Oh, that is something I will get hemmed on, snipers will jump out of these trees. Listen, all I’ll say is that no matter what, you will run into actors in the trailer and it’s so funny, because our show has largely been split into two. I will just say, he is the loveliest human being on earth. He’s loveliest human being on Earth, and that’s it. I’m speaking about it on terms from a human perspective, but from a scene perspective, that’s good question, I want to keep my job!”

Subsequently, Kripke revealed that the new season of the show will pick up just weeks after the events ofGen V’s finale.
So far, the plot of the fourth season, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2024, has been mostly kept under wraps, something that we have come to expect from the biggest and most highly anticipated series. Despite filming having been mostly completed earlier in the year, the Hollywood strikes delayed the post-production work on the show, and even with the strikes now over, it will still probably be a little while before we get any detailed information about where the franchise is heading next.

One thing that is certain is that the series will see the return of many popular characters such as Hughie Campbell Jr., A-Train, The Deep, Frenchie, Mother’s Milk, and of course, Billy Butcher, Starlight and Homelander, among others. New additions to the franchise will include Susan Hayward as Sister Sage, Valorie Curry as Firecracker and Rosemarie DeWitt as Hughie’s mother.
