Monster Hunter Wildsis filled to the brim with tasty-looking dishes with various ingredients. The Nitroshrooms are not one of them. Instead, they offer something more valuable: survivability. Instead of crafting meals, Nitroshrooms go straight into creating energy drinks to help with your stamina and slingshot ammo to send uninvited guests away.

What is a Nitroshroom?
The Nitroshroom is one of the more common mushrooms found throughout the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. They are meant to be a crafting item for some of the more important items that should be considered when setting your loadout.
For starters, with Honey, the Nitroshroom can be turned into anEnergy Drinkwhich not only helps fend off the sleep effect which monsters such asGraviosandNerscyllainflict, but it also helps increase your stamina consumption. Not only that, but it’s used to craft theLarge Dung Pod. This is a case-by-case item that can be equipped as there aren’t too many instances where multiple monsters will stick around after engaging with one another. On top of that, most of the monsters in Monster Hunter Wild generally run solo instead of in packs.
Where to Find Nitroshrooms
Windward Plains
While the Nitroshrooms are located all across Monster Hunter Wilds’ world, the best spot you can farm the Nitroshroom is in the Windward Plains. They are plentiful here, with four separate spots you can find them in. The first and best spot that should be explored is inarea 11. After exiting the main camp, heading southwest. You will eventually come out into the desert area and with it comes three spots where the Nitroshroom can be harvested.You can then go a little eastto find a Nitroshroom hanging out all by its lonesome.
The next two spots are found inside the intricate cave system the Plains has to offer. From the lone Nitroshroom mentioned, head north into the cave to find two more Nitroshrooms to pick. From the mushrooms in area 11,head southwestinto the cave to find another two. As we said, this is without doubt the best place to farm them as they come in bunches.
Scarlet Forest
Despite having so much wildlife, nature and mushrooms, the Scarlet Forest actually has very few Nitroshrooms to speak of. The first is located fairly close to the main base in area 12, somewhat close to the narrow pathway leading to area 6. The other location is in zone 8. This is one of the most heavily populated area for mushrooms, so you can find three Nitroshrooms to pick here.
Oilwell Basin
The next best place to look is in the Oilwell Basin. Most of them can be found on the lower floors, so they can be a bit of a trek, but there are quite a few to speak of. The first is inarea 9(on the second floor) against the southern wall. The next is all the way east on the bottom floor inzone 15right next to the Devil’s Blight. Finally,betweenzones 16 and 14will be a small diverging area where you can find three Nitroshrooms, alongside some more Devil’s Blight.
Iceshard Cliffs
Moving down, the Iceshard Cliffs have very few Nitroshrooms to be found. The first requires quite a bit of a run from the main camp as, while it’s on the same floor, it’s all the way in area 8. Thankfully, there’s a portable camp pretty close by. The other Nitroshroom is just as much of a pain to get as the last, as it’s on the bottom floor and found just north ofzone 2. Unfortunately, this is pretty far from a portable camp, so this is a last resort Nitroshroom.
Ruins of Wyveria
Finally, we come to the last location of Monster Hunter Wilds. As you might expect, the ruins only hold very specific items, and the Nitroshroom isn’t one of them. There is a single instance of the shroom found on the bottom level of the Wyveria Ruins, and it’s found inbetween zones 13 and 14. There aren’t any portable camps nearby, making this a less-than-desirable mushroom to get.
