If you thoughtKingdom Come: Deliverance 2was already tough, wait until you try the new hardcore mode. It was present in the first game, but Warhorse Studios has given it a new twist.
Hardcore mode is the main highlight of Patch 1.2.4, which is now available for download onPC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The update also introduces various changes and fixes, which we’ll get into shortly—but the brutal new difficulty mode is clearly the main attraction. In hardcore mode, Henry can no longer see his location on the map, nor can he use features like the compass or fast travel.

“In the hardcore mode of the first game, we did things like remove the map position and compass,” says senior designer Karel Kolmann. “But this time, we’ve gone further. We’ve added the option to ask various NPCs about your location in the world, which is more immersive. You might meet travelers on the road and ask for directions.”

Herb prices in shops have been rebalanced so they never sell for more than their purchase price.

A new bald hairstyle option has been added for Henry.
Fixed flickering shadows under certain weather conditions.
Fixed a bug triggered when getting hit while choosing dice.

Resolved save issues caused by having too many mods installed.
