There’s a lot of crafting that you’re able to do inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and one option is blacksmithing. As you might expect, blacksmithing requires a lot of ore and gems for its recipes, which means that it’s helpful if you know where you can go to gather the materials. It’s also cheaper to gather them yourself, but you could purchase some materials that aren’t too rare from vendors if you need to.

Faraway Iron Ore is essentially the second level of ore deposits you find, with Copper Deposits being the first level and easiest to harvest. This means that Faraway Iron Ore also requires you to unlock more locations in the main campaign to access it.
Mining Faraway Iron Ore
As you might suspect from the name, you can find Faraway Iron Ore on Faraway Island.One nice location is in Lulab Forest, where there’s a section filled with Iron Deposits and Blue Ore Deposits. Even better, you can harvest the ore, leave the forest, then return to harvest more ore. Otherwise, you can find more deposits around Ginormosia. However, the benefit of Faraway’s deposits is that they’re contained in one area, and it’s easy to leave that area and return to keep forcing respawns.
You can level up Duglas and have him mine the ore for you if you want, but he has to be quite a bit over-leveled in order to successfully mine these deposits. Otherwise, you want to bearound Level 20 to mine them, but going higher makes it easier. The regular nodes are about Level 15-16, but the high-quality ones are around Level 19-21.
Iron Ore Vendors and Gems
An extra bonus of the Faraway Iron Deposits is that most of the ones that are tucked in Lulab Forest have a chance to drop an Aquamarine. If you don’t need the gems, then you could sell them to vendors for some extraDosh. At the same time, there are afew vendors who sell Faraway Iron, namely the Material Vendors that you can find in various locations. With that, you should be able to get all the Faraway Iron you need to craft various recipes in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
