If you are looking to upgrade your gear inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to introduce yourself to the Great Fairies spread throughout the lands. However, unlike its predecessor, you are going to have to put in a fair bit of effort to finally get these larger-than-life personalities unlocked. After hiding away within their oversized flower buds, they will want to hear some sweet music from a traveling band to let you unlock the true potential of your gear finally. Let us find out how to unlock the firstGreat Fairy, Terawith ease.
How To Unlock Great Fairy Tera In Tears of the Kingdom
As you explore the world around you and start unlocking new portions of the map, you will be able to finally start unlocking some of the best features in the world around you. Before you start this questline, you will need to verify that you have spoken to theLucky Clover Gazette, which is on the way to theRito Village. After you have spoken to them, you will be ready to get started. Make your way to theWoodland Stable, found to theNortheastofLookout Landing.
Once you arrive here, you will want to speak withMastro, who will let you know the plight that he is currently facing. He would like toreawakentheGreat Fairiesin the area, but at this time, does not have a way to do so. The cart that they normally ride upon is broken and of no use to them without a proper and strongworkhorsethat can pull them to the top of the hill. Why they cannot just walk up there is beyond us, but we digress.

Once you have broken out of a conversation with the Stablehand at this particular location, you will want to start earning Pony Points. You can earn some extra points by staying overnight at the location, or by visiting other Stables across the lands, but for the sake of speed and efficiency, we will just spend a few nights here to rack up3 Pony Pointsin total and claim theHarness. Speak to them outside once again, bring out the horse of your choice, and selectCustomize Horse. With this gear attached, we are ready to start towing.

Using yourUltrahand ability, you will need to attach thesmall trolleynear their stage to the harness that you have just unlocked and attached to your favorite steed. Go back and speak withMastroonce again and let him know that you are ready to take them up to see theGreat Fairy. They will load up and you will be ready to head up that way.
While this may seem straightforward, you will need to be careful with how you transport them. If the ride is a little too bumpy and they feel uncomfortable riding with you, they will stop the ride and you will need to start over again. Thankfully, theGreat Fairyis just at the top of a small hill, so you will be ready to get up there in no time flat. Just do not go too fast, and you will make it on the first try.

Once you have reached the top of the hill, you will see a smallcutscenethat plays out, and you may finally speak toTeraand begin upgrading your clothing. Unfortunately, for those hoping to keep Hobo Link as their main outfit, youcannot upgradetheArchaicset, much to my own personal dismay. You will need to ensure that you have got plenty ofmaterials, so get out into the world and start slapping some enemies around and start getting stronger than ever imagined.
