The Caustic-X Bomb is one ofDead Island 2‘smany Curveball items. Like the Pipe Bomb and Shuriken, it can be used to deal with a small crowd of zombies easily. And just like the name implies, the Caustic-X Bomb spreads around the acidic green goop seen in some areas. This stuff is particularly dangerous to zombies, so getting it as soon as you may is a good idea. So, here’s how you can get the Caustic-X Bomb inDead Island 2.
Dead Island 2– How to get the Caustic-X Bomb
The Caustic-X Bomb inDead Island 2is a reward for the Rav-Ages of Caustic-X side quest. You get this side quest after the ninth main mission, Michael Anders and the Holy Grail. Proceed out of Monarch Studios, and you’ll hear a call on a radio next to the Workbench. Hana will be on the other end and ask you to look for Rav at the Hamperin Hotel. But just as you leave Monarch Studios you’ll be on the path to doing the Justifiable Zombicide quest. Since this rewards you withDead Island 2‘s first gun, it’s recommended you do that first.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to do some short backtracking to the Halperin Hotel. But once you’re there the steps are pretty simple. Head to the Ballroom in the Hotel to find Rav on the balcony above you. Then, he’ll task you with finding an ambulance in the nearby parking lot to get the Caustic-X Shipment Receipt. Afterward, Rav will ask you to head to the Hotel’s swimming pool to see if Caustic-X really works. And this is where you can use your dropkick to send zombies flying into the Caustic-X pool. Once you’ve done this enough times, head back to Rav, and he’ll give youDead Island 2‘s Caustic-X Bomb.
The power of the Caustic-X Bomb
Just like other Curveballs inDead Island 2, the Caustic-X bomb is pretty good at dealing with zombies. But it deals damage over time, so you’ll want to weave in attacks of your own as it works its magic. The Caustic-X Bomb can help you deal with big enemies like Crushers and armored zombies with ease. So, if you haven’t got it yet, add it to your list. Be sure to use all the game’s curveballs at some point because they offer some nice utilities.
