When you first decide toget a horseinThe Sims 4: Horse RanchExpansion Pack, they won’t be their best-mannered selves yet. Just like when you raise children inThe Sims, you’ll need to start training your horse. These animals have four different skills that can level up if you train them well enough. Here’s here to train your horses inThe Sims 4: Horse Ranch.
The Sims 4 Horse Ranch: Horse training guide
If you’re interested in seeing your horse’s skills, click ‘Open Profile’ when you select them in the relationships tab. You should then see a list of four different skills, which areTemperament, Agility, Jumping, and Endurance. How you can train your horses inThe Sims 4: Horse Ranchare through methods such assocializing, equipment training, and simply riding them.
The only method that works for every single skill is by sending them for training through the Community Board. You should be able to find these boards around your world.

How to train horse Temperament
Your horse’sTemperament improves when your Sim socializes and befriends them. If you talk and care for them regularly, their Temperament skill will slowly increase. As it increases, your horse won’t buck you as often as you’re riding them, and they’ll get along better with other Sims and horses. Not only that, but their performance will improve at Community Jobs and competitions.
How to train horse Agility
Byinteracting with equipment such as the Barrels, your horse’s Agility will get better. To do this, just saddle up on your horse, then ‘Practice Barrels’ after selecting the equipment. They’ll start to weave between the Barrels, improving their movement. As their Agility raises levels, your horse will move quicker and easier throughout the world. Also, they’ll become a lot better in Barrel Racing and other competitions.
How to train horse Jumping
Using another equipment item called Horse Jumps, you can upgrade your horse’s Jumping skill. Just like the Barrels, start riding your horse, thenpractice their Jumping skill with the Horse Jumps. They’ll start leaping over the Horse Jump obstacles, slowly improving their skill. The better the skill, the higher they can jump. A high Jumping skill is good for performing in competitions such as Show Jumping.
How to train horse Endurance
The final horse skill is Endurance, which is your animal’s resilience. With a higher Endurance skill, they won’t become Fatigued as often, and as expected, will perform better in competitions. If you want your horse to win an Endurance Race, start going for regular rides with them. If you just interact with them, you’ll see an option to go for different types of rides. Some are casual, while others will be less leisurely. No need for a bike when you’ve got a horse to ride around town!
