No matter where you go inAvowed, there’s no shortage of people in need to help. The Living Lands are a place where you’re able to get away from the shackles of the past. Maybe you did something bad or broke the law. Well, the Living Lands hopes to shelter you from any misgivings. Or at least that’s what some people seem to think. One elderly duo think just that, as their past has caught up to them, but in order to escape it once more, they must flee.

Avowed: Cabin Fever Quest Guide

Being kicked out of your home by some lizards, it’s up to the Envoy to get it back.

Accepting the Quest

As soon as you enter Paradis, you will be stricken by a bad case of death. Fortunately, the Envoy has more to do in the story and is immediately brought back from the land of the dead. Here is where many of the side quests in Paradis become open to you, and Escape Plan is one of them. After exiting the infirmary, you will notice a young woman trying to get your attention.

Remei Gardiolais her name, and she is looking to enlist your aid in helping some friends of hers to escape the eyes of Paradis in favor of the more raggedy Thirdborn. Remei will give you two tasks before seeing the couple: acquiring theLand Deedsfrom the individual handling their paperwork and a flower calledOndra’s Kiss, which is said to help with blindness.

Collecting the Materials

The deed is relatively easy provided you haven’t progressed too far into the story. This is located within the Sparrowhawks controlled district. If you progress in the main story, you may be treated with some aggression, but if you have mainly focused on side quests, you can waltz right in and grab the deed off the unfortunate soul that has been slain.

The next is Ondra’s Kiss. This is located in the wilderness, very specifically directly east of Paradis. Teleport to the Gods’ Gate Beacon, provided you’ve unlocked it outside the city, and then head immediately east. It’s very hard to miss the giant glowing plant on the map, but fortunately, this is a short trek with no interruptions on the way.

Helping Glaedwine and Leoflaed Out

Now all that you need to do is meet with the two in the shanty town just southeast of Paradis. They are holed up in a small room that’s overlooking the bar. Talking to them, they will ask you to get the deed and the Ondra’s Kiss, which you have already done, but also negotiate their safe passage to Thirdborn.

It would seem the mercenaries they hired to smuggle them across have doubled their price suddenly, so you’re sent to help see they honor their original deal. Upon arriving at the small dock where the mercenaries are located, you might notice a familiar face. Ilora, from the prologue of the story, is part of this crew. If you freed her from the jail cell on the island, she will be here and will even help with the negotiations. She will vouch for you, saving you time and potentially gold in covering the difference.

Alternatively, you can kill them and take the boat for yourself, but it’s unlikely you’ll see Glaedwine and Leoflaed in Thirdborn. Regardless, make your decision and head back to the two to give them the good news.

Turning Them in

If, for some reason, you don’t want to help this elderly couple escape Paradis, you may also turn them into the Steel Garrote. Head into town and talk to Captain Aelfyr to let her know that two escaped murderers are on the loose just outside Paradis. She will dispatch a squad to take them in, ultimately sealing their fates. Unfortunately, doing this will not net you any rewards outside some XP and instead immediately conclude the side quest. This will also play against you if you want to flip Elowe into being a spy for the empire.
