Apple has launched a pair of new GarageBand remix sessions featuring K-pop supergroup Seventeen as well as American singer and songwriter Katy Perry.

Apple launches 2 new GarageBand remix sessions

To remix “Harleys in Hawaii” by Katy Perry or “Darl+ing” by Seventeen, update GarageBand on your device to the most recent version, then go to the Sound Library section to download the new remixes free of charge.

The Remix Sessions feature teaches you how to mix well-known tracks from today’s top artists, and includes instructional step-by-step video instruction by Apple’s creative pro named Blake. The app’s Live Loops interface is of tremendous help here because it breaks down a song’s key components into a series of loops that you can remix like a pro while keeping everything in sync with tempo and key.

How to update GarageBand

GarageBand for iOS and iPadOS is available for free [App Store link].

Touch your profile image in the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, then scroll down to check for available updates. If you see GarageBand as a pending update, hit the Update button to immediately update the app.

If you don’t see the update, however, you probably have automatic updates turned on on this device. The option to automatically download and install app updates option usually delivers updates in stages in order to minimize the impact of potential software bugs. If automatic app updates are turned off, we recommend trying to download the update manually. Simply use the search feature in the App Store on your device to land on GarageBand’s page. From there, see if you can update the app. If not, then the update is currently unavailable in your local App Store.
