Blizzardhas officially announced the upcomingDiablo 4 collaboration with Berserk, one of the most legendary manga series of all time.
Diablo 4 & Berserk Join Forces in a Brutal Crossover
Diablo 4 recently revealedThe Season of Hatred, a content roadmap that will stretch all the way to 2026.So far, fan reception has been mixed—aside from a hilarious comment from Elon Musk—with criticism that the updates feel like “more of the same” to many players.
That might all change now, asBlizzardhas revealed the mysterious crossover with another IP teased in their roadmap: none other than theBerserkmanga.

The official Diablo X/Twitter account released an animated trailer revealing content based on the manga created byKentaro Miura.

The trailer shows a Barbarian marked with theBrand of Sacrifice, wielding a replica of theDragon Slayer Sword, and donning theBerserker Armor—all iconic elements tied to Berserk’s protagonist,Guts.
What to Expect
This marks thefirst crossover with an external IPin Diablo’s history—and Blizzard couldn’t have chosen a more epic and blood-soaked partner.
Although the trailer doesn’t explicitly mention which games are involved, it does referenceiOS and Android, suggesting the event will appear in bothDiablo 4andDiablo Immortal.

Blizzard hasn’t yet shared a release date or detailed content plans for the crossover.Still, fans are already speculating: themed skins, weapons, missions, or even enemies inspired by Miura’s dark universe could be on the way.
What is Berserk?
Berserk tells the story ofGuts, a lone warrior traveling through a world of horrors, driven by vengeance against his former friend and leader,Griffith, who betrayed him and became a demonic entity.
The manga is acult classicin both anime and manga history. Its influence can be seen across countless video games—fromDark SoulstoElden Ring.
Its brutal tone, unrelenting violence, and unique exploration of trauma and survival have made Guts an icon—and his world a cornerstone of modern dark fantasy.
Since its debut in1989, Berserk has sold over60 million copiesworldwide, with multiple anime adaptations continuing to grow its legacy.
Although creatorKentaro Miurasadly passed away in 2021, his legacy lives on through the continuation of the manga by his friendKouji Moriand a team of close assistants.
Berserk and Video Games: A History
Berserk has had several of its own games over the years, the most recent beingBerserk and the Band of the Hawk(2016)—a musou-style title developed byOmega Force, combining the manga’s story with the gameplay ofDynasty Warriors.
The series has also seen releases on classic consoles likeDreamcastandPlayStation 2, though many titles were never released outside of Japan.
Coming in Diablo 4 Season 8
This crossover is part ofSeason 8in Diablo 4, which promises torevamp endgame bossesand reintroduceBelial, one of the most memorable villains from Diablo 3.
And one more thing: according to the roadmap, this won’t be the only external franchise crossing over with Diablo. Blizzard is still keeping future collabs under wraps—so the gates of Hell may open even wider soon.
