According to a recent discovery by dataminer Lance McDonald Bloodborne is still capped at 30FPS for Bloodborne.

Bloodborne Is Still Locked at 30 FPS on PS5

As the embargos lift for thePlaystation 5which releases this week, new details are coming out about backwards compatibility. If you’re planning to dive back into old favourites such asBloodborne, be wary as the framerate is still locked at 30FPS according to Lance McDonald who is an avid data miner and content creator who has focused on many FromSoftware games.

Okay, embargo is up and I’m allowed to talk about PlayStation 5 back compat now. All I have to say is Sekiro is 60fps, Dark Souks 3 is 60fps (it’s locked at 30 on Xbox Series X, rip), and Bloodborne is still 30fps with bad frame pacing. ✌️

In order for Bloodborne to run at 60FPS it would need a much needed update. HoweverSekiro: Shadows Die TwiceandDark Souls 3can run at 60FPS. The reason Bloodborne cannot run any higher is that the developers haven’t released further updates and the game was designed to be locked at 30.

Sony

Will FromSoftware release a patch forBloodborneon PS5 soon? The odds are slim as they are already busy working on their next gameElden Ring, which was confirmed tostill be in the works recently. It would be great if they could release one as Bloodborne still remains a console exclusive for the Playstation brand.

Maybe a Bloodborne remaster is more likely withrumours earlier this year, which also mentioned theDemon’s Souls Remakeby Bluepoint which inevitably was confirmed and is a PS5 launch title.
