Survivors and killers rejoice: a blood moon has descended upon the Entity’s realm. And by that, of course, we’re referring to the return ofDead by Daylight’sBlood Moon event, which is running in-game from April 7 through April 29. True to its namesake, the Blood Moon event is the perfect time to farm bloodpoints to prestige your favorite characters and progress more quickly through the tome’s rewards. The limited-time Blood Moon event features new objectives, new cosmetics to collect, and a daily bonus just for logging into the game.

How to Earn Bloodpoints During the Blood Moon Event
There are a number of ways to earn bloodpoints during the Blood Moon event, including just logging into the game:
Completing Blood Moon Generators
During the Blood Moon event, four out of seven generators on the map will spawn as special Blood Moon generators. These generators require collecting blood from Blood Pumps, which are also located around the map. After collecting blood from a Blood Pump, survivors can then carry their Blood Can to one of the Blood Generators to fuel it. Running with a filled Blood Can will deplete its resources faster, so survivors should consider taking a stealthier approach when it comes to transporting blood across the map. Survivors earn bloodpoints for collecting Blood, fueling Blood Generators, and completing Blood Generators, whereas killers earn bloodpoints for damaging/kicking the Blood Generators.
Blood Moon generators only spawn in the “Blood Moon” event mode, so verify when you’re queueing up to play, you’re in an event lobby and not in a traditional lobby.
Daily Log-In Bonus
Simply launching Dead by Daylight during each day of the Blood Moon event will earn you a bonus bloodpoint reward (as well as Iridescent Shards and Rift Fragments). The reward schedule is below.
Community Challenge Bonus
By playing games and completing Blood Moon objectives, players have the opportunity to earn up to an additional +500% bonus to bloodpoints earned during the event. You can keep track of the community tracker from the main menu in Dead by Daylight. Once each target goal of bloodpoints earned by the entire community is reached, the following bonuses will be unlocked:
Maximize Your Bloodpoint Rewards During the Blood Moon Event
To further maximize your bloodpoint gain during the Blood Moon event, you can equip item offerings that increase bloodpoints earned, including the newBloodshot Eye, available on both killer and survivor bloodwebs. This is a personal item offering that provides you with a +100% bloodpoints bonus to all Blood Moon objectives. You can also bring offerings likeBloody Party Streamers, which grant +100% bonus bloodpoints to all players in the match, as well asSurvivor Pudding(killer) andEscape Cake(survivor), which provide you with personal bloodpoint bonuses. The Blood Moon event is the best time to use these types of items to maximize your bloodpoint earning.
While there are few perks that directly impact bloodpoints earned,survivors can use a perklikeProve Thyselfto increase their objective bloodpoint gain orNo One Left Behindto increase their altruism bloodpoint gain. Likewise,killers can equip perkslikeHex: Thrill of the Huntto increase hunter bloodpoint gain orSloppy Butcher, which keeps survivors injured for a longer period of time and can increase brutality bloodpoints gained. Survivors can pair these perks with item offerings likeFresh Bog Laurel, which provides a +75% bloodpoint bonus to the objective category, andFresh Primrose Blossom,which provides a +75% bloodpoint bonus to the altruism category. Likewise, killers can enter the match withDevout Tanager Wreath, which provides a +75% bloodpoint bonus to the brutality category, orDevout Spotted Owl Wreath, which provides a +75% bloodpoint bonus to the hunting category.
