We’re just a few days away from cinematic history being made withBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will be the first movie ever to showcaseBatman(Ben Affleck) andSuperman(Henry Cavill) together on the big screen. The movie is also historic since it marks the first big-screen appearance ofWonder Woman, withGal Gadotportraying the iconic heroine.Colliderrecently spoke with producerDeborah Snyder, who teased thatBatman v Supermanwill only give fans a small taste ofWonder Woman’s superpowers.

“I think that (director)Zack (Snyder)andGeoff Johnssat down and outlined these stories, many of them at least. Really, we did a chart with what their powers were, like whatSuperman’s powers were, and I think you see a little bit ofWonder Woman. So we get a sense of her power but we didn’t want to do too much because obviouslyPatty (Jenkins)’s going to build up to that and we’re going to learn how she discovers her powers in that movie.”

Batman vs Superman

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewon’t only feature the “trinity” ofBatman,SupermanandWonder Woman, but it will also introduce the rest of theJustice League.Aquaman(Jason Momoa),The Flash(Ezra Miller) andCyborg(Ray Fisher) will also have brief appearances in the movie, and while very little is known about their appearance,Deborah Snyderteased that we’ll get to see a “little bit” of their abilities.

“And then withAquamanand Flash andCyborg, those are a little bit more cameo, so you see a little bit that there’s something different but we don’t want to give too much away because we were just in the process, and we still are, of developing those scripts.”

Ben Affleck

Gal Gadotis currently shooting her stand aloneWonder Womanmovie, under the direction of Patty Jenkins, which is set for release next summer. That movie has been rumored to have three distinct settings, her homeland of Themyscira, World War I London and present day, which will lead into Justice League Part 1. Production on Justice League Part 1 is scheduled to begin on April 11, so hopefully we’ll learn more about that massive superhero ensemble soon. Are you glad that not all ofWonder Woman’s powers will be on display inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?
