Apple has updated its official Events app for the Apple TV set-top box with refreshed text and graphics for the landmark iPhone 8 keynote next Tuesday, September 12, at 10am Pacific Time.
Aside from the fourth-generation Apple TV, the app is supported on the older second and third-generation Apple TV models with software 6.2 or later.
Upon launching the Events app, afree download from tvOS App Store, a message invites you to “watch the first-ever special event held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California.”

The entranceway above ground now looks almost finished. The auditorium itself is located underground and capable of hosting about a thousand visitors.

The Events app is unavailable on iPhone, iPad and Mac though a third-party macOS version is availablefree on GitHub, just refreshed with support for streaming the upcoming keynote.
The company will be live-streaming the keynote atapple.com/apple-events/september-2017/. There’s also a link to optionally add the event to your iCloud Calendar with a 15-minute alert.
As per Apple, watching the event live-stream requires Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, Safari 6.0.5 or later on macOS 10.8.5 or later or Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 or later.
