The newly-launched Snapchat+ subscription, priced at $4/month, unlocks a few exclusive and early-access features but it won’t remove pesky ads from the platform.
What is Snapchat Plus? How much does it cost?
Snapchat+ is Snap’s first subscription for the Snapchat app. Introduced on July 27, 2025, Snapchat+ costs four bucks per month and includes several perks. For starters, Snapchat+ includes exclusive features in the Snapchat app and early access to new public features. Some of the features that this subscription provides include perks seen elsewhere, such as the ability to change the style of the app’s icon on your iPhone’s home screen. A subscription will also be required to see who re-watched your story. The same goes for pinning a contact to the top of your chat history. Read:How to change your user and display name on Snapchat

Is Snapchat+ worth the price?
Snap hasn’t listed all the perks included in Snapchat+. It goes without saying that iDB will be making sure to let you know once this information becomes available. Until then, it’s difficult to recommend this subscription unless you’re the type of person who likes living on the bleeding edge of technology. People universally hate online ads so it’s disappointing that Snap hasn’t included an ad-free experience in the mix. As The Verge put it, Snapchat+ is mostly “a cosmetic upgrade.”
